Poor turn up affected the tetanus vaccination campaign in some parts of Ma’di corridor due to lack of awareness on the exercise.
Torit Catholic Diocesan Health officer Margret Pacho told Emmanuel Radio that low response was due to minimal information to the target groups in vaccination centres of Mugali, Kerepi and Pageri payams.
She said girls and women increased after they were sensitized on the importance of tetanus vaccination.
Tetanus vaccination campaign targeting women between 15 and 49 years old, started on February 7 and is expected to end on Thursday.
