Youth minster calls for national unity

The national Youth Culture and Sports minister on Saturday called for unity to achieve reconciliation in South Sudan.
 
Nadia Arop Dudi said the ministry needed to empower young people because they play a great role in bringing peace.
 
She described reconciliation as a long and hard process that requires involvement of all people of South Sudan.
 
The minister said the government formed Youth Mobilization Crisis Management Committee and would start its work soon.
 
National Youth Crisis Management Committee chairperson Florence Lukudu said the committee was to play effective role in peace building and reconciliation.
 
She called on the young generation to start taking up responsible leadership today rather than tomorrow.
 
Ms Lukudu said peace building and reconciliation was a priority of the youths in the South Sudan.
 
The speakers made their remarks on Saturday during a rally organized by National Youths Culture and Sport ministry and the National Crisis Management Committee under the theme: ‘Youth for reconciliation, peace building and unity’.
