South Sudan Civil Society Alliance on Saturday called on women to work for peace among communities in the country.
Nyachuat Deng said women should work to bring people together in the grassroots.
She urged women to create a positive environment and avoid pointing fingers to one another based on ethnicity.
Generation of Fame Magazine Editor Both Chuol Gakah urged South Sudanese to refrain from tribalism because what happened in the country was bad.
Mr Chuol described siding with tribes or clan as rubbish and that it does not make someone great.
The Editor urged all citizens to encourage one another, unite and live in peace.
The officials made their statement during Peace Forum to examining issues of peace, unity and reconciliation among South Sudanese.
