United Sudan African Party or USAP chairman denied the allegation that his party was loyal to Riek Machar.

Joseph Ukell Abango on Monday told Voice of Hope that if one of their members joined SPLM/A in opposition to hunt for a position, it does not mean that the whole USAP was loyal to Riek Machar’s movement.

He was reacting to Western Bahr El Ghazal cabinet member who accused USAP of being loyal to Machar when Tingo Peter joined SPLM/A in opposition.

The chairperson questioned that how the state government can accuse USAP when he chairs the political parties in the ongoing negotiations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Mr Ukell added that USAP which is a member in the government delegation cannot join SPLM in opposition.

He said his party stands firm behind the leadership of the elected President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

The USAP leader confirmed that the position of Tingo could be replaced after he joint SPLM in opposition.

Ukell explained that the top leaders in SPLM recognized political parties’ role in finding solution to the ongoing crisis.

Tingo could not be reached for comments on the allegation.
