National Minister of Finance and officials on Saturday visited wounded soldiers at Military and Juba Teaching Hospitals to show solidarity.
Aggrey Tisa Sabuni appreciated sacrifices of the army in defending the nation, Bakhita Radio reported
He lamented that watching soldiers on television was not the best thing, but coming to encourage and share with them was the only motivation.
Mr Tisa added that the entire ministry staff contributed some food items and 50 thousand South Sudanese Pounds to each hospital to enable the wounded get better services.
He said they noticed the problem of running water in the military hospital and his ministry would fix it with the Health ministry.
Minister Tisa said at Juba Teaching Hospital there was a lot of repair needed at the Operation Theatre and additional beds for patients.
He added that his ministry could do what it can to rescue dire situation at Juba Teaching Hospital.
Military Referral Hospital Director Peter Ajak appreciated the team, saying visiting the sick was very meaningful.
