Eastern Equatoria State is now hosting over ten thousand people displaced from Juba, Jonglei, Unity and Upper Nile states.
The state government spokesperson Clement Loku Chichim told Emmanuel Radio that influx of displaced persons into the state increases everyday.
He clarified that the IDPs in Numule alone triple the population of the area.
The spokesperson said most IDPs fleeing to Eastern Equatoria state were children, women and elderly people.
Mr Loku said the displaced persons from Bor came with their cattle and would be a burden to the state.
The spokesperson disclosed that the state government was supporting humanitarian agencies including the United Nations to provide aid to IDPs.
