Vice President visits Torit

The Vice President of the Republic on Monday paid a two-day visit to Torit, Eastern Equatoria state.
 
James Wani Igga on his arrival at Torit told journalists that the visit aimed at briefing citizens on the crisis in the country, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
He said it was important for the people to know the origin of the alleged coup attempt.
 
Vice President Wani Igga said the government was struggling to recapture Bor and Malakal towns.
 
The Vice President expressed government commitment to peace, stability and unnecessary bloodshed.
 
Vice President Wani Igga met Eastern Equatoria top government officials, intellectuals, political party and religious leaders.
