Tombura-Yambio Bishop calls for dialogue

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop called for ceasefire and dialogue to end the political crisis the country faces.
 
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala appealed to President Salva Kiir and Dr Riek Machar to forgive one another to save South Sudanese, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He urged politicians and media personnel to speak words of peace not war.
 
Bishop Hiiboro cited the disadvantages of war including killings of innocent children and women, violations of rights, deplorable health conditions and lack of development.
 
The Bishop urged the state to contribute positively to sustainable peace and stability in the nation.
 
He expressed sadness about the ongoing conflict that negatively affects civilians.
 
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro introduced special prayers including adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, fasting and recitation of holy rosary every day for peace in South Sudan.
