Western Bahr El Ghazal government announced cutting January salaries of its entire employees as contribution, moral and material support for the army.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Elia Camillo Dimo, who heads the Mobilization Committee, said they will cut one thousand South Sudanese Pounds each from constitutional post holders and 500 Pounds from MPs, Voice of Hope reported.
He explained that they will deduct ten Pounds each from classified staff and five Pounds from unclassified staff.
Mr Camillo said his committee will on Monday set up registration centres for youth willing to be recruited to the army in all three counties in order to defend nation.
He called on all citizens to contribute items including clothes and food.
The Minister made the remarks while briefing MPs, directors, civil society organizations, political parties on the initiative at the state secretariat.
