The candidates sitting for Primary Leaving Certificate exams on January 13 were unprepared due to the unrest that displaced people in Juba and other parts.
Central Equatoria State Education Minister Hasten Yokwe after visiting UN compound in Juba said displaced people representatives complained that pupils can not sit the exams because they were not ready psychologically and materially.
He added that the children did not bring their books and the environment was not conducive for exams.
Minister Yokwe said the representatives requested the ministry to postpone the exams until the situation becomes normal.
He announced that the government was resuming normal academic programs.
