Lakes Football Clubs raise funds for 43,000 Jonglei IDPs

Lakes United and Homeland Football Clubs on Friday played a friendly match at Rumbek Freedom Square to raise funds for supporting 43 thousand displaced persons from Jonglei to Awerial County.
 
The match that was organized by Lakes State’s Deputy Speaker Nhial Enock Cahoc ended 4-3 in favour of Lakes United, Good News Radio reported.
 
It attracted a lot of spectators with one thousand South Sudanese Pounds.
 
Deputy Speaker Cahoc said one challenge was lack of stadium in the state to get more money from the watchers.
 
He thanked all well-wishers who contributed the money.
 
The fund-raising for supporting Jonglei IDPs continued on Saturday afternoon.
