UNMISS to increase peacekeepers in critical security areas

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS revealed a plan to increase peacekeepers at critical security areas.
 
Hilde Johnson told the press on Tuesday that the Mission was moving peacekeepers from less critical locations to reinforce their bases in Juba, Bor, Bentiu and Pariang.
 
She said the redeployments would better protect bases that are under threats. 
 
Ms Johnson said their forces were limited to protecting their bases.
 
She explained that they will have problems to protect civilians.
 
Ms Johnson said humanitarian assistance now was underway for the 45 thousand in the different locations in the country.
 
She said World Food Programme was distributing food and other humanitarian agencies look at ways to increase humanitarian assistance to those in the camps.
