Sts Peter, Paul Parish celebrates Christmas in Nuba Mountains

Sts Peter and Paul parish of El Obied Diocese in Nuba Mountains celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ.

 
Parish Priest Fr Angela Francis who presided over the Eucharistic celebrations said the promised Kingdom started by the birth of Messiah, Voice of Peace reported. 
 
He said people who are suffering in Nuba Mountains, Darfur and other places like the people of Israel in Egypt.
 
Fr Francis advised Christians to be patient because the birth of Jesus would bring salvation.
 
He said if people want to know God the father they have to know firsts the son.
 
Fr Francis advised that Jesus was born to show to the people the image of God the father.
 
Animals’ Health Secretary General Sodi Samila behalf of government expressed gratitude and peaceful wishes to all Christians in the Nuba Mountains.
 
He encouraged the Christian community and others to pray to God.
 
More than 19 Chapels of Sts Peter and Paul attended the Christmas celebration.
