Unknown gunmen killed three people and wounded eight others in Torit during a marriage dance.
Torit County Commissioner German Charles Ojok told the press that the incident happened on Sunday night at Hifanyak residential area, Emmanuel Radio reported.
The three killed victims came from Haforere village of Hilaya Payam.
Two other victims identified as Leone Oliah and Apuro Abala came from Lafon/Lopa County.
The incident occurred at the home of Dortel Orioma where Midardo Shalin held a marriage related dance as a symbol of traditional wedding.
The senior medical Officer at Torit Referral Hospital Jerry Oliha said one of the injured was a 12-year-old girl shot at the stomach.
Dr Oliha said six of the injured people were in critical conditions and that only two sustained minor injuries.
