Yei Catholic Diocese priest said Juba crisis that spread to Bor and other parts of the country was a punishment from God because South Sudanese were committing many sins.
Christ the King Parish priest Tom Poru Martin cited corruption, power struggle; tribalism, shedding of innocent blood and stealing as grave sins committed by the South Sudanese, Easter Radio reported.
He lamented that South Sudan was labelled in only few years as a failed state because there were a lot of evils committed.
He cautioned youths against night movement.
Fr Poru urged Christians to properly use the gifts of God for development not destruction.
He urged the rebelling group to come home for dialogue to avoid more bloodshed of innocent lives in the country.
The Catholic Priest was speaking on Friday in St Michael Chapel of Christ the King Parish during baptism and matrimony ceremonies.
