Sudan People’s Liberation Movement or SPLM urged the army to keep away from tribalism.
SPLM Acting Secretary General Ann Itto Leonardo on Thursday told the press that the army is to protect all citizens regardless of their tribes, Bakhita Radio reported.
She said it was unfortunate if members of the armed forces target other tribes in the country.
SPLM Popular and Syndicated Organisation Secretary Martin Majut Yak said the current conflict in South Sudan is not tribal but greed for power among politicians.
He added that South Sudanese would have not won the war if people were divided along tribal lines.
SPLM called on all the South Sudanese to unite.
