Lakes State Ministry of Labour and Public Service is paying four months salaries of returnee civil servants absorbed into the government payroll after losing jobs in Khartoum following the secession of South Sudan in 2011.

Director General in State Labour Ministry Abraham Makur Mangok told Good News Radio on Wednesday that they approved payment of salaries of July to October to some 50 returnee civil servants.

Mr Makur added that the returnee workers will be paid arrears from February to June in the course of next year.

Both classified and unclassified returnee civil servants are working in various ministries of Lakes State government.
