Eastern Equatoria Education ministry suspended salaries of 230 unprofessional and poor academic instructors of the Accelerated Learning Programme.
The Acting Director General Adelio Ojina Quinto revealed that the Accelerated Learning Programme had 402 instructors, majority of them use ghost names, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He disclosed that preliminary investigations indicated the list of instructors presented to the ministry benefited County Education officers.
Mr Adelio added that the list contained the same names since beginning of the Programme.
He stressed the need to have qualified teachers in the Programme.
The Director General advocated for improvement of quality teachers for better performance of learners.
