Sudan People’s Liberation Movement for Democratic Change or SPLM-DC Chairman called on youths in the country to put right things his generation mess up.

Lam Akol Ajawin told the public rally on Saturday that it was now the responsibility of youths to correct mistakes committed and direct the country to a desirable destiny.

He added that the future of South Sudan does not belong to the old but to the young people.

Dr Ajawin centred his public lecture on national unity, economy and international relation as core pillars of nation building.

He said political independence without economic strength has no pride and that international relation was part and parcel of nation building.

The SPLMDC leader stressed that it was very important to develop national unity, economy and international relation as central aspects before others.

Dr Ajawin pointed out that it was not time for South Sudan to join East African Community.

The party’s Secretary for Political Affairs Jerkui Marek Anyoun said his party would be the first to plant national consensus to avoid cut throat political competition that could be disastrous.

The statements were made in a public lecture on building national consensus at the University of Juba.

The lecture brought together legislators, politicians, scholars and civil society organizations.
