Solidarity Teachers Training College on Friday graduated its first batch of in-service and pre-service students in Yambio, Western Equatoria State.
The College Principal Margret Scott said 21 in-service and 23 pre-service students completed a two-year training and were awarded certificates, Anisa Radio reported.
Sister Margret said during the training, they watched the graduates while growing, developing and taking up teaching profession.
She added that teaching is not only a profession but a vocation.
Sister Margret appreciated the performance of the pioneer graduates.
Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala appreciated Solidarity brothers and sisters for touching lives of children of South Sudan.
He encouraged the graduates to love their works as teachers and avoid struggling for positions and money.
The Director of Finance and Administration in the State Ministry of Education Hakim Dabi urged the graduates to be emphatic and ambassadors of good will.
He cited Sister Margaret an example of a strong woman who encourages all women to join and excel in education.
The in-service students came from Makpandu, Sakure, Nzara and Yambio towns in Western Equatoria while the pre-service students came from Nuba Mountains, Abyei, Mapurdit, Ezo, Tombura, Naandi and Yambio.
