Yambio County Azande Traditional Council of elders in Western Equatoria on Friday summoned the SPLM State Secretary for accusing tribe of conspiracy to form an independent state.
The elders questioned Manasseh Deboyi Agoli and the entire SPLM Secretariat about a confidential letter sent to the office of the President the Republic bearing his signature, Anisa Radio reported.
Agoli’s letter dated October 16, 2013 accused the Azande Kingdom Restoration as a plot to create an independent authority far from government policies.
The letter also accused the ‘Arrow Boys’ of being a private force loyal to some Azande authorities in the State government that cause insecurity.
The SPLM Secretary admitted mistakes of writing the letter and promised to present a written apology to the Azande Council of Elders with a copy to the office of the President.
