Himango, a nongovernmental organisation in Tonj South County of Warrap State is planting mango trees along Tonj-airstrip-Himango and Sebit Hospital-airstrips roads.

Himango manager Harrison Waweru told Don Bosco Radio that they are planting about one thousand mango seedlings.

He thanked the people and the government of Tonj for their cooperation and urged them to protect the planted seedlings.

The manager said they would fence the planted seedlings.

He advised people not to destroy the fence and expose the seedlings to animals.

The manager said ‘mangoes are among trees that do very well in Tonj South County and in the future they would be source of employment and food security if companies to produce juice can be established.’
