Ngodakala Primary School in Baggari Payam of Western Bahr El Ghazal State lacks teachers and pupils are in holiday because the only teacher went to Wau for training.

Baggari Youth chairman Yohana Oko complained that since the end of first term children come daily to play in the school compound, Voice of Hope reported.

He lamented that the six-class school of more than 400 pupils was only handled by one teacher when he teaches in one class, pupils in the other classes play.

Mr Oko lamented that parents were worried about the future of their children.

The youth leader said the state Education ministry pledged to deploy five new teachers but since the beginning of the year they did not report.

He called on the ministry to cut salaries of teachers who did not report to work.

Western Bahr El Ghazal rural schools lack teachers due to no accommodation and long distance.
