Most local traders operating in retail business in the country suffer from the monopoly of wholesalers’ practice by breaking down their bulks into retail sales.

Yei County Chamber of Commerce chairperson Tito Ayambu Jakondo told Easter Radio on Thursday that retail traders complained that wholesalers turned into their business.

He expressed fear that difference between whole and retail sale traders would burst into a big a issue in the future if the situation was not arrested.

Mr Ayambu said there was no clear law to regulate whole sale traders to give room to low income earners.

The chairperson called on both the private and public sectors to address the business monopoly.

He said lack of financial support hindered their plan to develop policies.
