The Kakwa community dialogue conference under the theme ‘Restoration of Kakwa cultural values’ concluded on Friday in Yei.
The three-day conference identified and discussed issues facing the Kakwa community, Easter Radio reported.
The conference reached a number of resolutions including on Kakwa cultural values and arrest of the chiefs and elders.
It also reviewed Kakwa Constitution, political differences, natural resources and poverty, creation of administrative structures, boundaries, Governance and reconciliation.
Kakwa South Sudan Community chairman Thomas Wani Lo’ba’binya called on Kakwa people to implement the resolutions to realize a better change in cultures.
He said many youths forgot their cultures due to the war and that leaders should come up with strategies to educate the young people on their cultures and traditions.
The conference brought together leaders both from national and state government, Kakwa community leaders and members from Yei, Morobo, Lainya, Kajo-Keji and Juba counties.
