The UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs plans to go to Jonglei during a nine-day tour that brings her to South Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Kyung-Wha Kang will be in South Sudan from November 17 to 20 to visit Jonglei State and hold conversations with officials in Juba, UNOCHA announced.
She plans to travel to Bor and Pibor counties to visit communities affected by conflict and floods.
Ms Kang should meet the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, local authorities and humanitarian partners to discuss ways to strengthen disaster response and find sustainable solutions for affected communities.
A press conference on November 20 ends the visit.
