The residents of Alubi in Amdurdu Administrative Unit of Nuba Mountains complained that cattle were damaging crops in the farms.

Alubi Sheikh Joseph Abuwanja said bringing domestic animals into villages is posing a big problem to farmers, Voice of Peace reported.

He explained that one farmer fought with a cattle keeper over the issue of grazing animals near his farm.

Sheikh Abuwanja stated that more than six farms were destroyed by cattle.

He appealed to farmers to harvest their crops quickly.

Cattle keeper Hassan Hamad explained that they brought the animals to the villages due to insecurity and water scarcity.

He said this year the cattle keepers were incapable to provide security in the grazing land.

Mr Hamad urged the SPLA-North forces to provide security at grazing areas and water points.

Mr Hamad advised his fellow cattle keepers to keep animals from farms.
