The Catholic Diocese of Wau launched on Tuesday a one-year training program for its members for more than five parishes on justice and peace.
The training shall be done on different sessions for nearly 30 participants, Voice of Hope reported.
Natalina Andrea Mambo, Wau diocese Justice and Peace Commission Coordinator, reminded participants to take the messages for themselves first before preaching to others.
Ms Andrea assured that the second training program is open to the whole church in Wau and the benefit shall be greater than the first.
She clarified that justice and peace work is not political but more of awareness and putting into action what the Church preaches.
Ms Andrea said to realize justice and peace in at community level participants must put what they learned into practice by accepting others with all their weaknesses since they represent God.
The training workshops will cover topics of human and women rights, Social Teachings of the Church, common good and laws of South Sudan.
