Kenyan Bishops announce joint radio project

Kenyan Catholic Bishops announced plans for a joint radio project for evangelization following the lead of Catholic Radio Network in South Sudan and Nuba Maintains. 
 
Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops Vice chairman David Kamau who is also Assistant Bishop of Nairobi Archdiocese said on Tuesday that that the Kenyan Catholic Church would soon start a joint radio project, CISA news reported.
 
Bishop Kamau called for support in making the project a reality saying it was to make radio the main tool of evangelization by reaching to all Christians and parishes.
 
He also noted that communication was fast changing and news was being delivered in real time, urging members of the Catholic social communication to follow suit.
 
‘Social media has taken the world by storm, especially in breaking news. We can no longer take these advancements for granted or afford to be left behind’, said Bishop Kamau.
 
Three Kenyan Catholic dioceses are already operating their own radio stations.
