Budi farmers lead Second EE Agricultural Show

Four Budi County farmers are among the top ten contestants in the Second Eastern Equatoria Agricultural show held in Torit.
 
Master of Ceremonies Mark Wani declared Vigilio Konyun Ruka the first farmer during the Agricultural show followed by Victor Naminatede from Budi County, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
He said the third position was for Magwi County farmer Margret Oliver.
 
Mr Wani announced that the best farmer in the state was also from Budi County.
 
He said Budi County also emerged the best in the state followed by Magwi and Ikwoto took the third position.
 
Eastern Equatoria Deputy Governor Jerome Surur Gama encouraged famers to liberate the state and the nation from poverty and hunger.
 
Farmers from Kapoeta East County, a semi-arid area in Eastern Equatoria state, presented fresh cassava, maize cobs and okra.
 
Wheat grains, beat roots, peaches were other rare crops presented at the Second Eastern Equatoria Agricultural Show.
