Nazire-Agbe Christians raise funds

Over 1,000 faithful including some ECS members held a fundraising on Sunday at Nazire-Agbe Catholic Centre, Nzara Parish, to build a place of worship.
 
A representative of the organizing committee said that the Catholic community started organizing to build a permanent building for worshiping God since 2006, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He added that the Christians have contributed with more than 25 thousandth bricks and zinc sheets which are ready at hand.
 
During the fundraising some contributed cements, zinc and other building materials.
 
Nzara businessman Angelo Ngbaya donated 1,000 pounds and promised to give cements when work started.
 
St John the Baptist Nazire-Agbe Centre head catechist Anthony Atoroyo thanked those who contributed.
 
Nzara County Commissioner Elia Richard Box contributed 500 pounds and the executive director gave 250.
 
This year, the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio implemented a new fundraising program to contribute for the welfare and development of each chapel and centre up to diocesan level.
