WBG launches three-year strategic plan

Western Bahr El Ghazal state strategic plan for 2012 to 2015 launched on Wednesday outlined eight key guiding principles to drive developmental projects based on state priorities and needs.
 
Western Bahr El-Ghazal state government presented its long awaited comprehensive strategic plan at an estimated budget of 729 million pounds to meet its target, Voice of Hope reported. 
 
The strategic plan will take into account community priorities and financial and human power constraint among other principles.
 
State finance minister Lilian Rizik Velentino presented the document spelling out priorities an key issues affecting social services.
 
She said the three-year strategic plan will help direct resources towards constrains.
 
Western Bahr El Ghazal governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan called for the implementation of the key components of the plan.
 
He said both the government and the NGOs should be transparent in order to ensure efficient service delivery.
 
Governor Zachariah noted that the strategic plan was supposed to be launched last year but was obstructed by technical issues.
 
The plan proposes reducing the salaries expenditure and raising the capital though transfers from the National government.
