The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Western Bahr El Ghazal State started a training workshop for more than 40 administrators and accountants on public financial management.
The two-week training that started on Monday aims to equip administrators and accountants from both Jur and Wau County on the newly introduced financial management techniques, Voice of Hope reported
State Finance Minister Lilian Rizik Velentino reminded participants at the opening session that it is more difficult to manage revenue than to generate it.
Ms Rizik encouraged the participants to gain from the knowledge acquired which will add to their CVs.
Facilitator Robert Mutyoba articulated that the training will help explain the new reforms introduced by the government on public financial management.
The training is funded by Joint Donors Trust Fund through the government of South Sudan.
