Lakes Civil Society Land Alliance, in partnership with Norwegian People’s Aid, is conducting a two-day training workshop on land administrative structuring at county level with focus on women’s land rights.

Facilitator Rosilin Micaya told Good News Radio on Monday that the alliance seeks to give awareness on general principles of land and government’s relationship to it, and guidelines on the structure of a Land Authority in each County.

Ms Micaya said the workshop enlightens communities and individuals on where to appeal in case of land disputes.

She argued that knowledge of whom to approach helps the community solve land related issues.

Ms Micaya urged Lakes State civil society to be vibrant and focus on addressing issues on time before things get out of hand.

The two-day workshop is funded by Norwegian People’s Aid in collaboration with Generation Agency for Development and Transformation ‚Äì GADET-Pentagon.
