A minister of Western Equatoria State was chosen to chair the Catholic choirs in Yambio.

The Bishop of Tombura-Yambio suspended the choirs of St Mary’s Catholic Parish in Yambio for six months due to some misunderstandings not matching Catholic traditions and doctrine, Anisa Radio reported.

Public Service and Human Resource Development minister Jackcilia Salatiere said while delivering her acceptance speech on Sunday that she was going to work hand in hand with lay groups and church authorities to carry out her duties.

She urged the youth to unite, forgive and love one another and follow the teachings of the Church.

Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro praised the choirs for completing the procedures requested from the Church leadership.

He prayed over them and instructed to continue their activities including singing.
