Eastern Equatoria state Parliament on Thursday passed ministry of Health policy framework with amendments.
The policy framework presented by the Health, Social Development and Gender Committee chairperson Margaret Kasara was passed in its second reading, Emmanuel Radio reported.
In the framework, the minister for Health Margaret Itto detailed health situation analysis and health care investment opportunities in the state.
The minister also disclosed the mandate, vision, mission and core values, the objectives and guiding principles of the ministry.
Structure and key functions of the ministry, major achievements in 2012 and 2013 and planned policy activities were other factors in the policy framework.
