Ezo County Commissioner on Wednesday issued the first local order for general cleaning in all towns and villages.
Ezo Press Secretary Martin Zagi said Commissioner Moudie Albert gave the public ten days to clear all bushes around business plots, residential areas, public institutions, NGOs’ compounds and all streets in the county, Anisa Radio reported.
The order urged each household to have clean pit latrines, dustbin places and a food table to maintain good hygiene and sanitation.
The order warned that lawbreakers shall be fined between five and 50 South Sudanese Pounds with effect from October 26.
Anybody who would disobey the order twice shall be arrested and detained for five days to clean the town under the prison wardens’ supervision.
The order law enforcement agents will continue inspecting the area every month.
The Commissioner directed the county executive director, all payam administrators, organized forces and chiefs to implement the order.
Commissioner Moudie said clean environment, security, education and health were among his priorities in Ezo County.
