UN Secretary General Deputy Special Representative in South Sudan on Wednesday visited Yambio, Western Equatoria state, for the first time.
Raisedon Zenenga met Governor Joseph Bangasi Bakasoro to discuss the UN mandate and developmental activities in the state, Anisa Radio reported.
He commended the Western Equatoria Government for maintaining peace and security in the state.
Mr Zenenga said the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS would focus on skills training and other technical assistance to develop capacity of government officials.
He urged all the UN agencies in the state to listen and support the state development efforts.
