Muslims in Nuba Mountains are celebrating the feast of Eid al Dahya, the Feast of the Sacrifice.
Imam Al Yas expressed gratitude and best wishes to fellow Muslims and non Muslims through Voice of Peace.
He said the Feast of Dahya was an imitation of Abraham when he was told by God to offer his son Isaac and then God gave him a ram instead of sacrificing the son.
Imam Al-Yas said in this feast Muslims pray and forgive one another and celebrate with their families and neighbours.
Amdan Ismael extended graceful wishes.
He appealed to fellow Muslims to pray for the peace in Sudan, especially in the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur.
Muslims started today a week-long celebration of Eid al Dahya.
