Central Equatoria Governor warned national cabinet against demanding bribes from investors.
Clement Wani Konga told ministers from Equatoria region at the national government to guard against temptation of corruption, calling for integrity and strictness.
He said the practice of demanding bribes was undermining investment efforts in the country.
Governor Konga advised the Finance Minister Aggrey Tisa Sabuni to be firm in principles of management, pointing out that the position was the hottest seat in government.
Governor Konga urged Minister Tisa to revisit the revenue collection centralization policy to improve financial situation in the states of South Sudan.
He alluded to the biblical teaching of giving to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.
Governor Konga was addressing the Equatorian community over the weekend in Juba.
