The number of girls enrolling for school in Lakes State is significantly improving and parents are cooperating in sending their daughters to school.
Loreto Girls Secondary School Principal Orla Treacy on Friday said they witnessed huge changes with positive attitude to girl child education, Good News Radio reported.
She said the number of girls joining Loreto this year was four times higher compared to six years ago when the school opened.
Sr Treacy admitted cultural challenges of early and forced marriages in the state.
She expressed optimism that negative attitudes towards girl’s education will change as more girls get educated.
