More than 500 people on Thursday celebrated the feast of St Daniel Comboni in Tonj South County of Warrap State.
Presiding over Eucharistic celebration Fr Dominic Kubuya said St Comboni was the servant of God who helped many people and missionaries in Africa, Don Bosco Radio reported.
The cleric added that St Comboni was a man of love, unity and peace for everyone in Sudan and South Sudan.
He encouraged Tonj South residents to imitate the spirit of St Daniel to help their flood affected people.
Fr Kubuya said many Churches in Sudan and South Sudan are fruits of St Daniel Comboni loving work.
The Day was coloured with entertainment program including traditional dances and poems.
