IRI trains political parties in Yambio

The International Republican Institute or IRI trained youths of political parties in Yambio, Western Equatoria State.
 
More 60 Youths from seven different political parties attended a three-day workshop to empower them on nation building, Anisa Radio reported.
 
IRI Assistant Program Officer Ate Catherine said youths are marginalized from government developmental activities in the country.
 
Yambio County SPLM Youth League chairperson Anthony Sanangore said both state and national Constitutions do not clearly spell out about youths’ roles in the government.
 
He urged government to consider youth on nation building.
 
Ms. Jerisha Pita one of the participants urged the government to implement the 25 percent women quota.
