He said South Sudan’s delegation was able to inform the world about realities in the country.

Mr Wani Igga said the UN General Assembly audience went with the clear picture of South Sudan.

The Vice President said his delegation delivered to the UN, President Salva Kiir’s announcement that census and elections will take place in 2015.

He said the National Elections and the Census Commission would be supported for the two exercises to take place as scheduled.

Vice President Wani Igga said Abyei referendum issues were put forward and South Sudan would abide by the AU High Implementation Panel’s Resolution.

He said though there is no fixed date for the Abyei referendum, the government would still want the plebiscite held in October.
