Investment conference kicks off in Juba

South Sudan investment conference is convening from December 3 to 4 in Juba.
 
Finance Minister Agrey Tisa Sabuni said the conference will showcase the regional, international investors and the business opportunity that aims to identify clear roadmap for diversification of the country’s economy, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said the conference will also provide opportunity to political leaders to interact with the international investors on the transformation process and challenges.
 
Mr Tisa explained that there will also be a preliminary discussion on economic overview of South Sudan, keys investment policies and business networking to enhance linkages between foreign and local investors.
 
The Undersecretary for Investment Elizabeth Majok said preparations for the conference started and that steering committee composing of government officials, private sectors and development partners was formed chaired by the Deputy Finance Minister. 
 
Ms Majok said the committee will work together with the Investment Authority’s organising committee.
 
The Ministry is expected to organise four different workshops on specific economic sector to enable the conference generate a pipeline for investment projects before the conference.
