Authorities of Wau Teaching Hospital said they will soon discharge victims of Western Bank grenade attack because their conditions were stable.
Acting Medical Director Marcello Gabriel Ganda said the hospital received 17 cases, one was released shortly after first aid and 16 were still getting treatment, Voice of Hope reported.
He added that there were 11 women among the wounded and that one woman died before entering the operation room on Thursday.
Dr Ganda confirmed that all victims were responding positively to the treatment.
He explained that most of the wounds are in the legs and faces, and that they operated five victims, one with bone fracture case.
He said there is no case of leg or hand cutting among the 16 wounded people.
The assailant was arrested waiting for trial in the court.
