Western Equatoria Governor on Wednesday launched Lumber-logs South Sudan Limited Company saw mill at Yabua Boma in Nzara County.
Bangasi Joseph Bakasoro instructed all security organs to protect the people and their properties, Anisa Radio reported.
He urged citizens in the Nzara county and the state at large to continue planting teak trees for the future generations and told people to stop looting logs.
State Minister for Commerce, Trade and Investment Simon Ngbiidigi revealed that they signed final memorandum of Understandings with Lumber-Logs Company to open a saw mill.
He explained that in the memorandum, the company will exploit two teak plantations at Singbi, Nzara County and Marangu in Ezo County and pay a social fund of 100 thousand US Dollars to Singbi and 75 thousand US Dollars to Marangu communities.
Mr Ngbiidigi added that the saw mill will also provide employment to the local people to improve their living standards.
Lumber- logs representative Imad Aqruq thanked the state government for granting them the opportunity to invest in Nzara County.
He promised more investments opportunities if both the company and the community work towards success.
Mr Aqruq appealed to the tree out growers to sell their products locally to Lumber-Logs.
