Western Bahr El Ghazal Education minister was sworn into office on Friday amidst opposition.
Jur River County constitutional post holderson Monday circulated a letter dated September 23 to all media houses in the state petitioning the Governor on Moris Yel Akol appointment, Voice of Hope reported.
The letter said post holders claimed that Mr Yel came from Warrap state.
Speaking during the swearing ceremony, Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan said he resolved community move against Yel’s appointment.
He called on the entire citizens to work for the unity of the state in order to realize good governance.
The state acting speaker Paulino Apinyi Akol advised those against the appointment to refrain from propaganda.
He reminded that Western Bahr El Ghazal was a provincial state and that the creation of different states in the region should not be a dividing factor.
Governor Zachariah said he was still consulting on the appointment of his deputy.
