The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement or SPLM is re-organizing its party by developing new policies.
Deputy Secretary-General Ann Itto told the press on Friday that the party road map was passed in the second National Liberation Council meeting in March, Bakhita Radio reported.
She said there are three important elements in the road map including the party going to the grassroots to ask people on priorities and what SPLM can do to realize development in the country.
Dr Itto said they are now working to develop policy for the party to implement based on the opinions of the grassroots.
The Deputy Secretary-General said the second element of the road map was reviewing their four basic documents including manifesto, constitution, code of conduct and rules and regulations.
She added that SPLM Political Bureau passed the Manifesto and the Constitution and the drafting committee incorporated Political Bureau’s observations and circulated the documents to members.
Dr Itto said the drafts will be presented to National Liberation Council in mid October for endorsement and conduct of the third national convention.
