The Parish Priest of St Joseph in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Friday arrived home after a liver transplantation in India.
Peter Loro Bambu was suffering from hepatitis C and liver cirrhosis.
Shortly after arrival he told Bakhita Radio that they left Juba with his brother Moses Lodu on July 8 for India and received successful treatment.
Fr Loro added that his health is better than before the operation.
He said the doctors confirmed that the liver he received from his brother is working well and he can resume his priestly service after one year.
The Parish Priest said the doctor advised him to have enough rest and eat recommended foods.
Fr Loro added the he will travelling back to India after six months for medical follow up.
He thanked his brother, the Archdiocesan administration, parishioners and friends for the generous support during the treatment.
